Accessories Swap

Calling all fashionistas! I don't know if you get as inspired as I do by the new Spring arrivals at the local mall, but all those floaty dresses and strappy sandals just make me want to whip out the checkbook and go a little crazy! But as we all know - details make all the difference!

So . . . this is to announce a different kind of swap . . . a Checkbook Cover swap! What a great little end-of-school gift for our kids teachers. . . or thoughtful little remembrances for your girlfriends. And didn't your mom always love getting those special little treats you made as a kid? These are pretty quick and easy, and so much fun to do!

The deadline for turning in your covers will be April 5.

Plan on creating 5 +1 (for the hostess).

Plastic checkbook covers are available for $1 at Michaels (calendars), JoAnn's, or at most office supply stores. They are also available through Oriental Trading, at a slightly higher price (I believe it is 3 for $4.95).

Rules will be standard:

• Use at least 2 layers of quality cardstock plus at least one embellishment.
  
• Each finished checkbook cover should be inserted into a plastic cover. (see above)
  
• Take credit for your creation by including your name and contact information on the inside of the checkbook cover
  
• Let me know when you are ready to mail and I will send you my address.
  
• When mailing, include a self-addressed envelope along with the same amount of postage it takes you to mail the package to me plus 2 extra stamps (no metered strips.) Any unused postage will be returned to you.
