Meetup Groups meet face-to-face to pursue hobbies, network, get support, make friends, find playgroups or even change the world!
Get on the Internet to get off the Internet!
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
We are a small, but eclectic group of ladies who all love playing with paper, glue, stamps, you name it! We love to joke, laugh, have fun, and of course eat chocolate at scrapbook events!
We'd love for you to join us!
INDEPENDANT SCRAPBOOKING CONSULTANTS - PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!
I have gotten a LOT of emails from consultants asking to host a crop or come by to sell their products to this meetup. I have also gotten emails from people trying to liquidate their personal scrapbooking supplies. I have to be 100% clear in this regard- I will not host or schedule a meetup that is all about selling someone a product, nor am I OK with someone selling their personal products to the group. Please do not ask.
That said, if you are a consultant who is just looking for a bunch of friends to scrapbook with, we welcome you with open arms! :D And when it comes up that you are a consultant, that is fine. I will place no restrictions upon members purchasing from you at my meetups. However, I ask that there is zero sales pitch.
I will allow consultants to host product demos or meetups if it directly benefits a charity. (i.e. Cropping for Charity, and a consultant attends to sell products & donate a % of profits to the charity in question).
If you are interested in being part of a future Charity Crop event, please let me know.
For those of you who are new:
We typically have the following types of events scheduled.
1. Events Scheduled at Someone's House
These are typically at Jen's house, but there will be times when other members offer up their homes for scrap time (please come and meet the group before offering your home. It's the best way to get people to be comfortable with coming to your house). For these events, you should expect to bring all of your scrapbooking supplies as there is no one selling anything. We also ask that if you RSVP for one of these events, you show up!!!
Snacks and beverages are brought by the group, and we will order out for food if people get hungry.
You will RSVP for these events at meetup and these should always be free, unless the person hosting is asking for a small amount of money for snacks/beverages.
2. Classes at Local Scrapbook Stores
These events are typically at Artist's Oasis in Apex off of Salem Street. You do not need to bring any scrapbooking supplies with you to these classes, unless there is a specific tool or adhesive that you cannot live without. Artist's Oasis has tea and coffee (I think for purchase) and the classes are typically 2-3 hours long. So, if you expect to need something to eat, please bring it!
You will RSVP for these events AT the store first before RSVPing here. There is typically a fee associated.
