Several have mentioned we should get together to crop at (or at least visit) some of the scrapbook stores that are nearby. In particular, I've heard talk about Waxahachie and Colleyville stores.
I've been thinking - since the Superbowl is February 3 - maybe we could set a date and try a tour on Feb 9 or 10. However, I'm not sure whether all the stores we want to visit are even open on Sundays - so shall we start a list of stores and start planning? A Yahoo! search for Waxahachie shows that Just Scrap It has a Friday night crop, but they are closed on Sunday. Their website is http://www.justscrapi... but I understand there is now another SB store in town. The Scrapbook Pad in Colleyville is my most frequent destination. Their Sunday hours are noon to 6 pm and their website is http://scrapbookpad.c... They do have regular Friday night crops. Any others? Any interest? |

Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know that I live in Red Oak, which neighbors Waxahachie. There are actually two scrapbook stores in Waxahachie. Besides Just Scrap It, there is also The Crafty Scrapper (www.thecraftyscrapper.com). They have crops on Fridays and Saturdays. Not sure about Sundays. I actually have a home in downtown Grapevine that I have converted to accomodate scrapping weekends, crafternoons, crops, etc. I would consider planning a crop there for Superbowl Sunday for $25 per person, 8 person minimum. We could work out the details of what snacks/etc I would provide. If you want to see how it looks, visit my blog at www.randeescrafthouse.typepad.com I have lots of sizzix dies, deco scissors, punches, alphabet stamps etc available for use. I wouldn't be surprise to see one of the scrapbook places open for a Superbowl crop, though. Thanks, Randee www.randeescrafthouse.typepad.com http://thestampqueen.... 469-337-3939 |

Anyone want to set a new date for this? The Waxahachie store continues to get great reviews!

What do you mean by touring a store? I don't think I would necessarily care about just looking around, but if you set up a crop or something at a time I can go, I would love to do that!

I guess that is confusing, Marcy! I suppose 'visit' is a better word choice than 'tour.' What I meant to say: There are fewer SB stores around now, and I haven't been to all of them. If there is interest in a carpool for shopping OR meeting for a crop, lets plan to do that! If y'all know about other good SB stores that are not listed here, please tell us and give the hyperlink if you know it! |

I would love to go to a scrapbook store for a crop, but I am so limited on when I can do something like that...pretty much just Friday night or an occasional Saturday. So, I don't know if I should really be the one to say I would be interested since I am so limited!

I think cropping at a scrapbook store would be great, as long as it is not far from G.P. Where are these stores that you mentioned? Let me know if you get something planned! Thanks!
