Do you or your children/spouse have seasonal allergies or allergies of any kind?

I have seasonal allergies since moving to Virginia. :-) My eyes burn through most of the spring and I am constantly sniffling and sneezing. My aunt just sent me a neti pot, which is helping to relieve a lot of the nastiness. Lindy has seasonal allergies and a grass allergy. Mowing the lawn makes him sick. I think Ella has a bit of seasonal allergies too, she's had a runny nose for weeks now, I have no idea really. I'm new to the whole allergy thing. :-)

Gavin is allergic to a lot of stuff. He has seasonal allergies really bad. And He has a mild allergy to cats & dust. When he was young his allergies were much worse. He says as he has gotten older some have gone away totally and others have decreased. Like he use to be allergic to chocolate and avocados, but now they don't bother him at all.
Gavin's brother and his son, our nephew, have tons of deathly allergies...like to nuts, certain berries and most animals with fur.
Allergies suck!

As far as we know, neither my husband nor I have any type of allergies although I seem to have an endless sinus infection that I'm beginning to wonder whether it's some type of allergy. I tried Claritin today though and it hasn't seemed to have made any difference. My daughter on the other hand has tons of food allergies: milk, eggs, peanuts plus some other nuts, onion, garlic. She's also allergic to dogs, cats, dust mites. Luckily none of her allergies are severe enough to be deadly. The milk allergy sometimes causes her to throw up (like if she drank actual milk) and the rest mostly make her itchy and give her eczema. Her eczema has actually been pretty well controlled since we moved to VA but this last week that we went back to FL she flared back up - not sure if it's something in the air or chlorine from the pool or what.

My allergies didn't start until I was an adult and moved out to the country in the middle of a farm during hay season, and since moving to Roanoke, I want to cut my head off every season with the itchy eyes, throat, ears and sinuses.

We just started Dean on Claritin last night because he keeps a constant cough now and the doc said we could try it a week and if he got better, then it's probably allergies.

As long as I stay inside in the summer, I don't usually get to the crazy head-chopping-off stage, but now that I have a kid who loves outdoors, I'm slowly getting there, even with Allegra-D.

Have you guys tried Zyrtec? I have found that works best for me. :-)
